I have been watching VAMPIRE DIARIES with my daughter during the school holidays. And part of me was judging myself with a self-critical voice in my head, “Well, you are a spiritual person- you aren’t supposed to watch something intense like this.” And the other part of me kept going on putting off the label of spirituality.
While I was on the last season, I sat for meditation, posing the question of what I learned from the glorious 8 seasons of this series. The guidance gushed through with wonderful lessons as a takeaway from what I invested time on.
We all are composed of DARKNESS and LIGHT.People turning into vampires had a CHOICE of choosing between darkness and light, i.e., light in the midst of darkness or darkness in the presence of light, and so do we.When the darkness comes by, the only way to get through is to go through- facing, embracing, and accepting all of your shadow parts and then to allow the light to seep through the cracks.Shred of FAITH is enough for us to fuel our trust in the unknown even when we can’t see any way out.Unconditional LOVE – We are love, vibrating at a frequency of love, and love is all we have.True LOVE is setting others free, blessing them on their journey- Trusting the other person can make his/her own decisions.FORGIVENESS and COMPASSION is a gateway to our and others’ hearts.Most importantly, thinking I am spiritual, and others are not is a pun on myself as that only thickens the VEIL OF SEPARATION. We all are extensions of SOURCE heading to the same destination in our own way.LESSONS come in all ways, shapes, sizes- via songs, messages, numbers, dialogs, people, thoughts, feelings, and so many more.So here I am, wondering all these weeks that I was so oblivious to these messages because I wasn’t tuned into the receiving frequency, and the moment I did, the floodgates opened wide, ushering all the wisdom.
